My passion for doing hair began right out of high school in 1973. It has been a  rewarding life-long career  building a loyal clientele, cutting hair throughout the many trends, achieving my master colorist certification, and finally opening Drift Away Hair Studio  at the young age of 60.  Working with hair is a way for me to be creative and I love the connection with people. The simple act of shaping and coloring hair to make someone feel and look beautiful brings me endless joy and satisfaction!

I am an avid reader, and enjoy book discussions in my chair. I’m also interested in the stock market, recipes, and  my clients will most  likely not escape my chair without seeing and hearing about my 5 beautiful grandchildren ❤️

Mary has been a Cosmologist/hairdresser/Master Colorist in Cohasset and Scituate for over 40 years.  She says she loves what she does today as much if not more than in her early career.  She specializes in all aspects of Color and cutting and welcomes guests by appointment only Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Megan is super passionate about making her guests feel beautiful and confident starting from the inside out! Megan’s calming demeanor will make you feel comfortable throughout your visit and she strives to build a relationship with each and every guest that sits in her chair. Megan has been styling the south shore for 14 years while specializing in blonding techniques, balayage, curated cutting and special occasion styling. When Megan is not behind the chair you can find her hiking, kayaking, cooking or playing with her adorable 18 month old daughter . Whether you are looking for a big change or just looking to enhance your natural color Megan has you covered!

What started as a hobby for Erin as a young girl, has grown into a passion. Erin graduated from Ailano School of Cosmetology in 2012 and has continued to advance her skills through endless training, growing with the industry throughout the years.

From hair coloring to cutting, highlighting, and balayage she will listen, advise, and help you make your hair goals become reality.

Erin also does special occasion styling in the salon or on-site. She is currently available for Booking, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturdays

 Amanda grew up in and around Scituate MA, and is beyond grateful her career has found a home at Drift Away Hair Studio.

Her 17 Year career began with her education in Cosmetology at South Shore Vo-Tech High School. She worked behind the chair while attending Umass Dartmouth for her Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing. She then spent the next 9 years working on the South Shore at Charles David Salon, growing and expanding her knowledge in the salon industry. In 2020, it was time to follow her heart and pursue owning her own business! 

Amanda takes pride in her consultation process. Listening and understanding each client is essential to that client feeling their best as they walk out the door. We all deserve to live our BEST lives, and something so simple as self-care is how we achieve happiness.
